The trick is in the lid of this otherwise humdrum machine. The multi-touch panel is suspended within the screen-bezel and spins on its horizontal axis, facing out or in depending on need. The specs are as you’d expect: 1.5GHz Atom N550, 320GB, 10-inch multitouch display, 1.3MP webcam and a pair of USB ports.
The netbook part surely works fine: Dell has gotten pretty good at that. But the tablet part is little more than a gimmick. It’ll work with the installed Windows 7 OS, but not well, unless you have sharp, mouse-pointer-shaped fingers. So Dell has included its Stage interface, which can be used for browsing music, movies and photos. If you want a nice, finger-friendly way to surf the web or send a mail then you’re out of luck

The amount of RAM the huge HD size and sightly larger than a netbook footprint are all attractive options. The full keyboard and touch screen are the deciding factors everyone must be impressed. To say it works well as a pc is kind of silly, all DELL products do. But just having a touch screen windows pc is not that fantastic. And the tablet aspects of this thing work really well. The video, audio, ebook and web surfing experience are enjoyable while flipping it open for keyboarding gives you the best of both worlds.
Drawbacks (at least minor irritants) include:
It's weight - at over 3 lbs, it is heavy for a tablet
Not being able to lock the screen rotation - showing someone something on the screen can change as the device is moved.
Not having a back mounted camera (tablet/phone style) - you still have to use an external device to get pics/vid into the thing.

Ultimately it feels like Dell should have made bit more efforts to make it right instead of teasing the users.
