Yesterday's tiny screens and squeaky sound couldn't do justice to all the great stuff you can experience on today's HTC Desire HD. That's why we've fitted the HTC Desire HD with a huge cinematic 4.3-inch display, Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual surround sound. Websites, videos, music, games and apps really rock on your HTC Desire HD.
With its huge cinematic screen and high fidelity sound the HTC Desire HD gives you a breathtaking internet browsing experience. Websites, videos, music, games and apps at their dynamic best. Everything you like to play with, played safely thanks to HTC Sense security.
The HTC Desire is a truly wondrous smartphone. It's 3.7in OLED screen looks amazing, its 1GHz processor makes it super fast, and its Android operating system is easy to use and powerful. It does lack the visual impact of some alternatives and doesn't necessarily break new ground but if you're in the market for a smartphone right now, this is the pick of the bunch.
What to make of the Desire HD? It's undeniably hampered by some design flaws and poor battery life, but the sheer volume of good things it brings to the table can't be ignored. Froyo is the most polished and accomplished version of Android by a good margin, HTC's latest Sense enhancements add legitimate value to the proposition, and the aluminum unibody construction, upgraded internals, and jumbo screen are unignorably appealing. On the whole, we feel like the Desire HD's downsides tend to relate to things that won't affect you too much in daily operation -- you won't need to access the battery too often, for example -- whereas its strengths reside in the critical areas of expanding functionality, choice, performance, and screen dimensions. It's Froyo on a 4.3-inch screen and it tastes just right.

Large display
Pre-cache map support with HTC Locations
HTC Desire HD cons
No option to turn off the Sense UI

No front-facing camera or HDMI port
Could use some more internal memory
HTC Desire HD is a great smartphone. It might be one of the best smartphones I have ever seen so far. The HTC desire HD is super fast with a large screen. Not to mention the performance with 1GHz processor and 786MB of RAM. Currently, I think it is save to say that the HTC Desire HD is the best Android phone made by HTC. However, this Android smartphone is not perfect. You won’t find any front facing camera nor HDMI port. But hey, it is good enough for me.
