Samsung Infuse 4G comes with a huge 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and with "razor" thin body aiming to top AT&T's list of slim phones. The phone, which runs on Android Froyo, is announced as a Galaxy S phone. The Infuse 4G is technically not 4G. At least not as in LTE 4G as you might have thought. It comes with HSPA+. However all the other specs are not disappointing at all – a single-core Hummingbird sings at 1.2GHz. An 8 megapixel snapper is featured on the back, while the front has a 1.3 megapixel camera.
It's already been a great year for Samsung, ignore the whole lawsuit thing. Just a few weeks ago the company delivered to us our highest scoring Android phone yet, the Galaxy S II which offers LTE speed, strong battery life, and an on-contract price that slightly exceeds its design.
Not so with the company's latest Infuse 4G is on the roll, and it has a decidedly high-end feel. It even looks a little like the Samsung S II -- if you squint. This is its own phone, though, a giant 4.5-inch screen setting it apart from its predecessors, and a giant battery inside giving it plenty of life.
It has it’s pros and cons as any device would, so my impression towards the phone is mixed type:
It has a big, beautiful, which I say a brilliant display! But, I’m going to need a privacy screen soon cuss it’s so clear everyone is going see what I’m doing and although I have long fingers, it just might be a little too big. That’s not to say it doesn’t fit nicely in my phone pocket of my purse or the pocket of my jeans.
The 8mpx camera is sharp and it has a flash! One major advantage over iphone 3, and also lot better than phone4 flash. It seems too warm if that makes sense. Now the infuse flash is white and bright and it nearly blinded me when I took a few self test shots!
The front camera is a plus point, though I don’t know how often one would use it. I believe it’s adequate, but lacking next to the iphone’s 3mpx.
When have you known to hear a chick complain about too many options? While its neat that I have so many on the infuse, I’m a little overwhelmed!! I think I have finally found some settings I can work with, but it will take me a while to adjust and tweak them just right.
I love the apps (lots of in fact) and the fact that I can browse from the web and installs are sent right to my phone. I’m weary about widgets since I know they will work against me in my attempts to conserve battery juice, but they sure are cool.
Battery life is my one major concern with this phone like many others, even an iphone would have trouble staying juice in my hands. I love that I can swap the battery out and used to do so with my blackberry pearl.
